12V CAR SOCKET • 5,000 RPM • FOUR POLISHING PADS

Back To Showroom

A hand-held polisher for the scratches and swirl marks that show up every time the sun hits the panel. Charge the pad with polish, switch it on and work the area in slow passes until the dull haze lifts and the gloss comes back.

5,000 rpm high-torque motor • Wool, sponge and cone pads • Plugs into the car socket

WHY IT WORKS

No Stalling

Hand polishing fades out the moment you press down: the arm slows, the pad stalls and the swirls stay where they were. This one holds its speed under pressure, so the pad keeps cutting the same way from the first pass to the last — which is what actually takes the marks off instead of just moving them around.

01 / THE PANEL

What The Sun Reveals

Under a street light the paint looks fine. Then the sun comes out and the whole panel turns into a map: fine swirls from washing, a chalky grey haze on the bonnet, the dull patch where a bird dropping sat too long. None of it is damage you can feel with a fingernail — it is all sitting in the top layer, waiting to be polished off.

02 / THE PAD

Contact, Not Pressure

The work is done by the pad spinning, not by the arm pushing. Let the polisher sit flat on the panel with its own weight behind it and move it slowly in overlapping passes; lift it and move on before the surface gets warm. That is the whole technique — and it is why a soft pad at a steady speed leaves a clean, even finish instead of the hot spots and holograms that come from leaning on it.

03 / BEYOND THE CAR

One Tool, More Jobs

A buffer is not only for paint. The same pad and the same slow passes bring the cloudiness out of glass, put a shine back on chrome and metal fixtures, and revive sealed wood furniture that has gone flat — which is why this one tends to stay in the toolbox instead of being put away after a single afternoon.

04 / THE HANDLING

Small Enough To Finish

At 14.6 × 13.4 cm and built around a pistol grip, it is sized for one hand and for the awkward places a full-size buffer will not go: the strip under the door handles, the curve above a wheel arch, the boot lid of a small hatchback. The 12V lead runs to the cigarette socket, so the whole job happens in your own parking space.

05 / THE RESULT

Gloss, Not Glare

The difference is easiest to see in a reflection: before, the paint reflects light as a soft blur; after, edges and street lines come back sharp in the panel. A bonnet that looked tired in the morning looks like it has been waxed by the afternoon, and the swirls that used to draw the eye in sunlight stop being the first thing anyone notices.

GET STARTED

How to Use

1. Wash the panel and let it dry completely — dust on the pad is what leaves new scratches.
2. Fit a pad, plug the lead into the car socket and test on a small hidden area first.
3. Work the polish in slow overlapping passes with the pad flat, letting the machine do the work.
4. Wipe the residue off with a clean microfibre cloth and check the panel in daylight before moving to the next section.
