WHY IT WORKS

See The Angle First

A number on a screen tells you the angle; it does not tell you where that angle points. That is the gap this one closes. Stick it on the saw table or the workpiece, zero it, tilt until the display reads what you need — and the laser draws the line that angle produces, out across the material, so the setting gets checked before the first cut rather than after the last one.

01 / THE LASER LINE

A Line You Can Follow

Sit the gauge on a saw table or hold it against a panel and the beam runs out ahead of the work: a red reference sitting exactly where the angle points. Set a fence, line up a rail, check the fall on a shelf or see how far a roof pitch will run before you commit to cutting anything. It also makes a wrong setting obvious — the number can look right while the line is clearly running uphill.

02 / THE DISPLAY

One Button, Two Modes

The screen shows the angle to two decimals and the status above it: LEVEL when you are checking flat, HOLD when the reading is locked. One button switches between angle and slope, and between relative and absolute — relative for "how far from where I started", absolute for "what angle is this surface actually at". ZERO resets the reference to wherever the gauge is sitting, which is how you measure an angle without a protractor anywhere in sight.

Stays Where You Put It

Built-in magnets hold the gauge against steel and cast iron: the bed of a mitre saw, a steel stud, a pipe, the column of a drill press. That is the difference between measuring an angle and chasing one — the body stays put while you swing the blade or move the workpiece, so the reading changes only when the machine does.

Pocket Sized, Alloy Frame

At 62 × 60 × 33 mm in an aluminium alloy frame, it lives in a shirt pocket or the lid of a tool case and comes out for a single reading without being a production. The casing takes the knocks a site hands out, and the Type-C port means it charges from the same cable as everything else in the bag instead of hunting for a coin cell.
